Did you know that a chicken’s longest flight is 13 seconds? Did you know that a chicken’s longest flight is 13 seconds?

In fact, the chicken can and often does fly through the air but with hardly the greatest of ease. These in-flight difficulties, which chickens face, are actually a result of both the dynamic processes found in Mother Nature and the deliberate actions of humankind. So that is why the longest recorded flight of a chicken didn’t exceed 13 seconds.
But at least their ancestors did fly. The ancestor of modern chickens, the wild red jungle fowl (also a darn good name for a rock band), wasn’t a great flier, but he could get around when he had to.
