Did you know there’s someone who sleeps with one eye?

Dolphins sleep with one eye open! They take 2-3 minute periods throughout the day to rest one half of their brain. While that half is resting, one eye is open for predators. After 2-3 minutes, the dolphin will completely wake up and continue the day, but occasionally take more 2-3 minute periods until they sleep for about 8 hours total. They need about as much sleep as humans, they just can’t sleep all in one time period.
