Long-Running “ER” Has Secrets Behind The Scenes

“ER” is a television show that lasted for 15 seasons. There were several characters who grew close to the hearts of viewers, such as Dr. Mark Greene and Nurse Carol Hathaway. There are a few secrets about the show that you might not have known while it was on television. When you see the doctors and nurses on the show, they appear to wear a new set of scrubs all the time. Over 130,000 sets of scrubs were used throughout the hospital drama. There are people who have discovered their own health problems after watching some of the episodes. Dr. Greene had a brain tumor, and some of the symptoms that were shown in the show have led to other people discovering some of the same issues and being diagnosed with cancer and other illnesses. Some of the actors wanted to be killed off. Maura Tierney was one, but the producers spiced up her role. Anthony Edwards and Kellie Martin also asked to be killed off, and their wishes were granted. George Clooney, who played Dr. Doug Ross, had to beg for an audition to be on the show. When producers saw that he had talent, they gave him a chance on the show. However, he was one of the first main characters to leave.
